In Honkai Star Rail you get a choice between Stelle or Caelus for your main character. If you’re not sure what Honkai Star Rail is all about, you might not know which one to pick. This guide will explain who Stelle and Caelus are and who you should choose.
Honkai Star Rail: Are there any differences between Stelle and Caelus?
Stelle and Caelus are the two options for the main character, otherwise known as the Trailblazer, in Honkai Star Rail. Stelle is the female version, and Caelus is the male version.
There are no gameplay differences between Stelle and Caelus in Honkai Star Rail. As a result, you can just pick whichever one you like the look of. However, there are a few minor changes between the two.
Obviously, the main difference is the gender of each character. If you want your main character to be a girl you’ll have to pick Stelle, while Caelus is the male option.
Another small difference is that when you receive avatars of your main character, they’ll be avatars of whichever version you picked. You can get an avatar of your main character as part of the game’s launch event.

Ultimately, there are no gameplay differences between the two options in Honkai Star Rail. Stelle and Caelus have the same moves and stats, and they’ll have the same storyline.
The trailblazer, whether you pick Stelle or Caelus, will start with 163 HP, 84 ATK, 62 DEF, 100 SPD, 5% crit rate and 50% crit damage. They’ll also have the same Path (essentially a character’s class), and the same moves in battle.
Stelle and Caelus are both Physical characters in the Destruction path. Physical attacks break Physical weaknesses and apply bleed damage, and Destruction focuses on high damage and survivability.
The Trailblazer’s moves include their basic attack Farewell Hit, the RIP Home Run skill and their Ultimate skill Stardust Ace. Stelle and Caelus can choose between two attack modes with their Ultimate to deal damage to one target or spread it out across many targets.
