A weird glitch is deleting raid keys in Destiny 2. Here's what you need to know to avoid it.
Losing your raid keys sucks, and some players are reporting that their Destiny 2 raid keys are being deleted from their inventories for no reason whatsoever. It isn’t intentional either — this is a strange glitch, completely unintended, and Bungie is aware of it.
The deletions are due to a variety of factors, but there’s currently no fix yet available. There are two primary reasons Destiny 2 raid keys are being deleted, and both are completely avoidable. Destiny 2 is all about loot, so it’s pretty vexing when your hard-earned items are deleted for no reason at all.
How To Keep Raid Keys | Glitch Solution Guide
Raid Keys are being deleted from inventories in two specific situations. Both of them involve logging into alternate characters or creating new characters.
- If you sign in to an alternate character that has no signed in since the last weekly reset, your raid keys may be deleted.
- If you create a new character right after earning a raid key, your raid keys may be deleted.

To avoid getting your raid key inventory destroyed by a crappy bug, Bungie advices the following:
- After the reset, sign-in (or inspect your character with the Destiny 2 companion app) with all of your characters before clearing a Leviathan raid checkpoint.
Leviathan Raid progress is reset weekly, but your raid keys are meant to be a permanent item that can be used to unlock raid chests at any time. Hopefully a permanent solution to this glitch is coming soon.
